WhatsApp is working on a feature to mute calls from unknown numbers

Instant multimedia messaging app WhatsApp is now working on a feature that millions of users around the world were waiting for. People are troubled by the spam calls coming on WhatsApp every day. Now WhatsApp is going to break it with its new features. Usually, if someone in the world has your WhatsApp number then he/she can call you via WhatsApp. Now WhatsApp is going to rein it in. WhatsApp’s new feature will block spam and unwanted calls.

According to a report by WABetaInfo, testing of this feature of WhatsApp is currently being done on the beta version. If you are also a beta user of WhatsApp then you can try this feature. A screenshot of this upcoming feature of WhatsApp has also surfaced. After the new update, a button will be available in the settings menu to silence unwanted calls. This feature will silence calls from numbers that are not saved on your phone. This feature can prove to be very helpful in preventing spam calls.
